The Troy Bolton Diet

Hello there,


I’m a nutritionist from the School Food Trust, and over the course of the next few weeks, I’ll be looking at the High School Musical 3 characters and letting you know what they’d probably be eating to keep themselves in such good condition. First up, it’s everyone’s favourite High School heart-throb, Troy Bolton.


It would be important for Troy to get a balanced diet to make sure he has enough energy for his busy lifestyle!


He’d need to make sure that he gets enough energy to sing and dance, and have enough left over for his basketball practice, or Chad will not be pleased!


Eating starchy carbohydrates such as wholemeal bread, rice and pasta would give him energy, as well as being good sources of fibre – which is important for our digestive systems. Dairy products such as milk or cheese are good sources of protein and minerals such as calcium that are important for healthy bones.


Troy would also need to make sure that he eats plenty of different fruits and vegetables each day – he should try to eat five portions a day, as they contain the vitamins and minerals that are important to make sure that he dances and plays basketball as well as he can.
